Chelan Metalworks is a family-owned business providing high quality, well-built artistic metal fabrications. Industrial or residential, we can build you everything from gates and railings, desks, custom bars, and more. Ran and operated by Jared Major and his uncle, John Masters, the two came together to bring Jared's talent of metal work to the public.

Jared was born and raised in Alaska and has always enjoyed square body Chevys and diesel engines. He began his career as a heavy diesel mechanic for caterpillar in the copper mines of Arizona and New Mexico. He then moved on as a millwright technician for the Trans Alaska Pipeline where he was known for rebuilding multiple 16 cylinder Cummins engines. As his side hustle of diesel engines, welding, and fab work, he grew his personal business and opened his own shop in Grants, New Mexico. There he grew his business of welding and rebuilding heavy duty diesel engines.

 

After the passing of Jared's mom, John offered to team up in Chelan, Washington where he resides. John has spent his years as one of the top Physical Education teachers in Northern California. He started multiple successful businesses within his community supporting sports and kids. After a successful career and retiring, John loved Jared's work and wanted to be part of the journey. And so began Chelan Metalworks, LLC.

 

It has been Jared's long time dream of owning his business and providing quality work. He's adapted to overcome obstacles and hurdles to fulfill his dreams. With this fortitude, Chelan Metalworks is always open to new ideas and we want to invite you to bring them to us to see what we could build for you!
